Newton Abbot is a market town and civil parish on the River Teign in the Teignbridge District of Devon, England, with a population of 25,556.

Newton Abbot is a historic market town surrounded by beautiful South Devon countryside. The town is home to a large range of shops, restaurants and open spaces and is perfectly located close to both Dartmoor National Park and a number of lively seaside towns.

Every Friday, 9am to 3pm. Newton Abbot holds a host of markets throughout the week in the centre of this bustling town. In the Market Hall you'll find Newton Abbot Indoor Market and Food Hall which is open every day from 9 – 4.

Newton Abbot Town Centre

Running throughout the town and out in to the surrounding countryside you’ll find a number of cycle routes and walking trials allowing you to explore the surrounding countryside.

One of these routes is the 18 mile Templer Way which runs from nearby Dartmoor National Park, through the town and on to Teignmouth.

This great walking route lets you explore the best of South Devon, Coast, Countryside and Town, while enjoying some amazing scenery.
