Definitions

In this agreement these terms have the following meanings: Customer means the user or buyer purchasing a product from Inspired Rooms. Supplier means any supplier who Inspired Rooms markets the products of. Agreement means the contract between Inspired Rooms and the Customer to which these conditions will apply. Product is the item that Inspired Rooms will market on behalf of the Supplier.

Scope

This agreement shall apply to all products purchased by a customer via the Inspired Rooms website. By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, your statutory rights are not affected.

Description of Products

We make every effort to describe the products offered for sale on our website as accurately as possible. Dimensions of these products are provided as a guideline and may not reflect actual dimensions. Pictures might also not reflect the actual aspect of products due to lighting, screen resolution and formatting. Most of the items on our website are available to view in person in our Torquay shop so if you are unsure about anything, please do not hesitate to visit us. We reserve the right to add, remove or amend products or furniture collections without notice.

Availability of Products

We make every effort to ensure that stock availability is as accurate as possible. As our stock levels fluctuate on a daily basis, items that are listed as In Stock on our website might not be. We will contact you as soon as possible to confirm that the item you have purchased is readily available, or not. Lead times are always approximate and should be regarded as a guide to the anticipated waiting time under normal circumstances. As products are ordered via suppliers, extra delays are sometimes out of our control. We will of course endeavour to keep you informed of any extra delays to the lead times you were originally quoted.

Payment

All online transactions are in £GBP. We accept PayPal as a method of payment on our website. Once your order is complete and you successfully submit payment through the PayPal service you will receive an email with confirmation of your order. This means that your bank has authorized the transaction. If you wish to pay by other means, please visit us in store. All products must be paid in full before delivery/collection. Placing an order through our website constitutes a contract between you, the customer, and Inspired Rooms.

Returns

Returns are not accepted unless items are faulty or damaged in transit. Evidence of any damage or fault will be required within 48 hours of you receiving your delivery. We will not offer a refund because the item does not fit or because it is the wrong colour. Please check that the item is going to fit in your home before you purchase. You must also check that the access to your home is adequate for the delivery to be made. If you are unsure about any aspect of our services, please contact us.

Cancellations

You may cancel your order at any time within 7 days of placement, without charge, unless the goods have already been despatched, in which case you will be liable for our delivery/collection costs. Any goods returned within 7 days of receipt will attract a full refund, with the only liability on the customer being the costs of delivery and collection. The goods must be in their original packaging and be in perfect saleable condition. A refund will only be given when the returned goods have been received and inspected by us. Inspired Rooms owns the copyright and all other intellectual property of, or has the right to use and make available for purchase where relevant, all material on this website including but not limited to the text, graphics, logos and all other material available or downloaded through the site. Any links to third party websites are provided for information only and do not imply an approval or endorsement of the website. Inspired Rooms shall not be held responsible for the contents of any linked site and shall be under no liability arising from your use of these sites. This website is provided ‘as is’ and without warranty of any kind to the extent allowed by the applicable law. Inspired Rooms does not warrant that the website is free of errors and/or omissions, worms, viruses, Trojan horses and the like. You are solely responsible for your use of this website and any materials contained therein.

Special orders

Products which are ordered to a non-standard specification or finish or personalized by choice of fabric/paint/finish cannot easily be offered for resale, they are therefore classed as special order items. Customers who cancel a special order are liable for the costs incurred by Inspired Rooms. This includes any delivery costs or any charges made to us by the supplier. A 10% restocking fee may also be charged at the discretion of Inspired Rooms.

Inspection of Products

Once your products have been delivered, please inspect them thoroughly and report any damage or fault immediately. Photographic evidence must also be provided with a detailed description of damage/fault. As natural wood is mostly used to construct our furniture products, it will exhibit variations in colour, tone and grain pattern within individual pieces of furniture and between different items of furniture from the same collection. The colour and finish of the products might also change as they age. These are not faults and are natural characteristics of wood.

Maintenance of Wood Products

It is not unusual for wooden furniture to crack or split as the timber settles. Wood might swell in damp conditions and might also shrink in hot and/or dry conditions. The furniture products we supply are not suitable for areas which attract strong sunlight and heat such as conservatories or for outside purposes. We also recommend that you protect your furniture from drinks and hot plates to avoid damage. Oiled furniture products will require regular oil treatments to preserve their appearance. No refunds will be payable for damage caused by mishandling furniture, misuse of furniture or the application of unsuitable coatings, polishes or abrasives.

Painted furniture

Wood and wood-based furniture has inherent inconsistencies in the absorbency of its surfaces. It is inevitable therefore that this will result in some colour variations in the finish on painted furniture. There are also variations in colour finishes as depicted on our website due to screen resolution, lighting of the furniture when photographed and editing of the images themselves.

Product Guarantee

All furniture from Inspired Rooms comes with a 12 month guarantee against manufacturing defects. Should a problem arise within this period, the furniture will either be repaired or replaced.

Changes to our Terms & Conditions

Inspired Rooms reserves the right to change these Terms & Conditions at any time and without notice. You will be automatically bound by these modifications when you use the site therefore you should periodically read our full Terms & Conditions before making a purchase.
